The heart of this year's blend is an exceptional Costa Rican coffee. It is from the Doka Estate which is spread across the rolling slopes of Poás, a broad hillock of a volcano just outside San Jose. The cup is like this too, broad, with great acidity and body to spare. Flavors are bright and forward, citrusy and elegant. It makes the perfect base for a blend, if you base your blends on the best coffees you can buy.
Complementing this Costa Rican gem are two coffees that were selected especially for this blend, our online exclusive black cherry-like Burundi and an elegant Antigua Guatemala. Both coffees are brilliant, bold and smooth, with a note here and there of sugar, fruit, and flower.
